63 year old nonsmoker female, 5 feet 6 inches who wished to undergo a facelift/necklift to rejuvenate her facial appearance. Her examination showed midfacial deflation with loss of contour along her jawline plus platysmal banding and lax skin of her neck. Her facelift included lateral platysmal tightening by a platsymal window with vertical vectoring of the remainder of the platysma to add volume to the midface. The platysma was also approximated in the midline of the neck to maximally improve the contour. Her after photos were taken 6 weeks after her facelift/necklift and show a rejuvenation, youthful appearance. Her facelift has increased her midface volume and smoothed her jawline. Her neck contour is also smoothed and the normal contours have been reestablished.
