Eyelid Surgery Photos - Case #3931

53 year old female who wished to undergo an upper blepharoplasty to remove the excess skin which she felt made her eyelids look heavy and gave her tired, dull appearance. Her eyelids appearance was slightly asymmetric. She had no health issues which would have prevented her upper blepharoplasty. Her upper blepharoplasty was done under local anesthesia only and removed skin only except for a small amount of fat from the medial eye fat pad. Skin only removal in an upper blepharoplasty helps maintain the youthful fullness of the periocular tissues. Each upper blepharoplasty incision was closed with a single suture which ran under the skin. This suture was removed in 6 days. The patient post operative photos were taken 1 month after her upper blepharoplasty and show improved symmetry of the patient’s eye opening and a symmetric upper lid appearance. She has an alert, rejuvenated, energetic appearance and is very pleased with her result.
