Facelift Boston

The facelift, also called rhytidectomy, is a cosmetic surgery procedure that has helped both men and women to reverse some of the more severe signs of aging that cannot be improved through less invasive methods. The facelift can correct deep lines around the nose and mouth, lift sagging skin, lift fallen fat, reduce the appearance of jowls, and lift and tighten excess in the chin or neck. Ideal candidates for the facelift are in good mental and physical health with realistic expectations, and are nonsmokers. The facelift is achieved through one of a few different incision techniques, depending on each patients unique needs and goals. The traditional facelift is performed through an incision that runs in the hairline around the ear and into the lower scalp. A limited incision facelift uses smaller incisions at the temple and around the ear. If a necklift is included with either, or done on its own, the incision starts at the front of the ear lobe and wraps to the back of the ear.
