Rhinoplasty - Nasal Reshaping Photos - Case #2873

50 year old female, nonsmoker, who wished to undergo a rhinoplasty to improve the shape and contour of her nose. She was unhappy with her small nasal bump and felt her nose was too wide and the tip lacked definition and refinement. She wanted her rhinoplasty to smooth her nasal dorsum, reduce the hump and bring balance to her tip. She underwent an open rhinoplasty with reduction of her nasal hump, restoring her dorsal nasal lines with spreader flaps and slight inward repositioning of her upper nasal bones. Her nasal tip was refined with suturing techniques which remolded her nasal cartilage to produce a natural, slightly narrowed nasal appearance. Nostril width was refined with Weir excisions in the nasal bases. Her post rhinoplasty photos were taken 1 month after her surgery. The view from below illustrates the tip refinement achieved. Side views show improved lateral nasal lines and a balanced, narrowed and refined tip. She is very happy with her result.
