Eyelid Surgery Photos - Case #3795

56 year old female, 5 feet 4 inches 145 lbs, nonsmoker, who wished to undergo an upper blepharoplasty to rejuvenate her facial appearance and correct the heavy appearance of her upper eyelids which she felt made her look tired and aged. Her upper blepharoplasty was done with local anesthesia only and consisted of removal of skin only from her upper eyelids except for a small amount of fat removed from the medial upper eyelids. Removal of skin only retains the smooth, full, roundness of the upper eyelid, a feature present in youthful upper eyelids. All sutures were placed below the skin so only a linear line remains of the incision. Her post upper blepharoplasty photos were taken 1 month after her upper eyelid rejuvenation and shows a youthful upper eyelid contour, with elimination of the heavy appearance of her upper lids and a refreshed, alert appearance to her eyes. She feels she has a more vital, energetic appearance.
